If you had enough of soothe and calm places around the southwest, we are going to talk today about an exclusive coastal community, situated, of course, in the southwestern part of Majorca: Bendinat.

This popular residential area enjoys an excellent location and a total exclusivity. More precisely, here you can find an abundance of luxury villas and apartments owned both by locals and tourists. This village has an impressive history, considering that King James of Aragon itself came here, in 1299, and made camp after a terrific battle with the Moors.

Regarding this part of the history, it’s being said that the origin of the village’s name has its roots in this visit of the King of Aragon: the King should have said “Ben dinat”, meaning “well dined” in Catalan, after enjoying a meal in a tent while camping over here.

As a major attraction of this village we can mention the feeling of isolated luxury in a location merely depicted from Hollywood movies. Cala Bendinat is a small beach surrounded by pine groves. Naturally, it can provide the perfect little escape for beach lovers, in spite of its reduced dimensions.
