In my intent of offering you my experience about Majorca, my vision about it in order to keep you informed and to awake/intensify your curiosity about this wonderful island, I try to create different subjects that I tend to alternate, in order not to get you bored.

Following this intent of mine, this time we are going to the south-eastern part of the island, at Calo des Moro. Inspired by the song New York’s best kept secret, I can say that this is Mallorca’s best kept beaches! For a long while, this tiny, yet amazing beach, with an incredible translucent turquoise water, was not known, because of the difficulty in reaching it. Hence, people nowadays communicate more than they did years ago, so the word has spread and this beautiful beach can be quite full during summer months.

Foreigners come quite often, but the popularity among German tourists is amazing! They say that the adventure of getting there only make them appreciate more the place. About 40-meters long, this beach is surrounded by pine trees and low-lying scrubs and plants.

With a calm water, depicted only if fairy tales, this is a less child-friendly beach, due to the fact that there is limited room to play on the sand and because there are no restaurants, facilities around. Here, we are talking about a still virgin beach, in which marketing world hasn’t yet arrived. No water sports, no lounge chairs and umbrellas are also part of the deal.

Many people leave their bags on a rock and simply enjoy being here, taking advantage of the water, etc. Put it in other words, part of the local appeal is being on your own. Therefore, it is a highly-recommended experience for anyone who wants to enjoy silence, being in nature, in a magic place.
