In order to end this week’s posts with another 100% traditional Majorcan fair, we are going to talk about an event that aims to celebrate the thing that the lands offered in abundance to the Sa Pobla’s citizens. We are talking about potatoes!

Yes, you’ve read well! As I was previously mentioning, here we use to show our gratefulness for everything that we have. And since the potatoes are the major export crop that has grown around, things were clear: an annual fair had to be made! And so it is, until today!

Concretely, local restaurants are setting up their stalls in the town’s square and constantly tempting you with a variety of both traditional and modern-adapted potato-based dishes!

If you are around, and if you do not consider MacDonald’s french fries the best, I think you will totally enjoy this culinary experience!
