As we all know, on Mallorca’s west coast begins the famous mountain range Sierrra de Tramuntana and along to the dramatic coastline you’ll find a small hidden bay where you can enjoy the sun and sea without the crowds. Yes, I’m talking about the breathtaking Banyalbufar cove! 😀 Because in my last article I told you about the Banyalbufar village, today it will be about its wonderful seaside which bears the same name. This place is located on the past terraced slopes from Banyalbufar and a walk of one km downhill it will bring you to this beautiful area where you can swim, sip a cold drink on the beach or you can admire a lovely waterfall that is nearby to this place.

The location has 100 metres long and 15 metres wide and to get there you must take the way that goes down to Major St along, a 500 metres slope. Here you will be surrounded by mountains and trees, a sea with crystal-clear water and the general quiet of the beach. Because of the location and lack of facilities, the beach is not known to be very child-friendly but at the same time, is ideal for those who would love their quiet time in a stunning location with a great view.

As the main attraction (how I metioned above), Cala Banyalbufar beach has also a small cliff, a little waterfall where you can have a “natural shower” and is really recommend to go there to dive as you can find a lot of sea plants and incredible sea life. If you’ll ever spend one day in this area you will have all sorts of things to do and you’ll live so many fun experiences – such as stopping in the Banyalbufar small mountain village to drink a strong coffee or enjoying its lookouts were you will see so many beautiful landscapes that completely makes your heart to skip a beat.

Also, you can swim in the crystal clear waters with the breathtaking steep rock walls that frame the small bay so wonderful Therefore my opinion is – if you want to start a great day of excursion in Mallorca, you have to visit the village of Banyalbufar, one of the most characteristics of the island and the perfect place to stroll around and taste the typical Mallorcan dishes! Important to remember! Do not leave your camera in your hotel room. 🙂
