Hello guys! I know that in the article of yesterday I told you five important things about Mallorca when it comes to history but I realised that I didn’t sayd nothing about recreation or amazing places that you can visit here. As a reward because I know that many of you are not passionate about this branch I searched for you some amazing places were you can see unspoilt places and what this elegant island has to offer. These being said I will start with Mallorca’s capital city that makes an ideal weekend destination in its own right. Is just the right place to make shopping, a pleasure to walk outside with plenty of atmospheric cafés and tapas bars to rest your feet. Palma offers a wonderful mix of traditional and trendy shops situated on its elegant streets. If you’re searching for designer shops, trawl Avinguda Jaime III, Passeig d’es Born and the surrounding streets particularly around Plaça Chopin are the perfect choice. You don’t have to miss the massive Gothic cathedral, La Seu,being the signature building of the city and is a remarkable sight particularly when seen from the sea.

Beside the cathedral there are also plenty places to choose from with the Es Baluard contemporary art museum, the Juan March Foundation and also the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation just outside the centre. For a relaxing day in a beautiful aria, near Port d’Alcúdia on the northeast coast are these wetlands that cover around 4,200 acres named S’Albufera nature reserve and is a great location for birdwatching, cycling or walking.

You cannot drive in the reserve but there is a car park near the Anglesos bridge off the main road which is half a mile from the Sa Roca visitor centre where you can get a map and hire bikes. Something similar to this place is Alfàbia Gardens.

In these gardens in Bunyola north near Palma you will find a dreamy view feature with orange and lemon trees, tropical plants, pools and fountains. Although they have existed in this form since 1954, the gardens and the house to which they belong date back to the 13th century when the estate was home to the Moorish governor of Inca is a paradise on earth. A stroll along the paths that are lined with fragrant honeysuckle and jasmine and end up at the little bar for a glass of homemade lemonade or orange juice is a delight for every guest. This lovely island sitting on the Mediterranean Sea is a great mix of everything on a platter and will still leave you craving for more. Its beautiful beaches, its original architecture, its unique gastronomy, the cosmopolitan outlook of its people, the indescribable beauty of its natural scenery… all this makes Mallorca not only one of the most visited places in Europe and in the world but also a place where many foreigners from all over the world choose as their place of residence, their home.
