If you have never been in Santanyi, then you must go. Why?! Well.. because Santanyi is a pretty old town with a bustling market that has an arty cosmopolitan feel with a good selection of shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. Some good restaurants!!! I convinced you? If not, let me tell you more about one place from there that for sure it will make you visit, especially if you’re a food lover! So, welcome to Es Cantonet, a location that is open for dinner (but closed on Sundays) and offers a small gourmet menu of well-prepared Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Asian influence that’s based on best-quality fresh seasonal ingredients.

Sounds good, right? The chef – Erik Eckfelde, the owner of the restaurant is specialized in using fresh produce of the season and likes to let the flavours of these products speak for themselves in the cuisine and dishes he creates. When it comes to its design, featuring an elegant decor, this restaurant interior is spectacularly romantic, colonial and likely to elicit gasps of delight on first entering.

The interior is decorated in warm rustic Mediterranean tones, using natural materials such as stone and wood and has attractive lighting – creating a unique, comfortable atmosphere. Also, they have created a nice fireplace for your best comfort, where you can feel relaxed and have a good time – a stove adds a cosy glow and warmth on cool evenings; in warmer weather you can dine alfresco in the charming private courtyard garden.

These being said, if you ever want to visit the restaurant, you must know that is located in the old-fashion building in the Santanyi’s center. It is a good spot for a romantic dinner, believe me! Here you can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, carefully prepared for you by the head chef. Once you enjoy this amazing restaurant, you’ll wish to come back here again.
