Since Mallorca it has become my first love, I always come here excited and happy. Especially for the food! Hahaha! The Balearic Island of Mallorca, renowned for its stunning coastline, enticing scenery and awesome climate, it is also famous for an equally impressive gastronomic scene. And while we all know that love goes first through the stomach, if you ask me, well… this is the best way to begin a wonderful vacation! That’s why, today I decided to talk about food. More precisely, about the famous paella and where can you have the ultimate paella experience on this delightfully laid-back island.

Therefore, let’s start with a unique place located just off the road between Valldemossa and Deia. As famous for its spectacular views as for its paellas, Sa Foradada restaurant is located on Mallorca’s north coast opposite the Sa Foradada promontory.

Their meals are cooked over a wood fire in an open-air kitchen and served up in the similarly open-air terrace overlooking the bay. The menu features mixed (traditional) seafood and vegetable paellas in addition to a selection of meat, fish and salads. Yummy! The other location, as perfect as this one above is located on Mallorca’s north-east coast, close to Playas de Muro.

Besides their delicious dishes, Ponderosa Beach offers relaxed beachfront dining, complete with DJs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a selection of classic and innovative cocktails. The menu is based on seafood and all ingredients are sourced locally with the highest regard for quality and ecological concerns. Numerous paellas feature on the menu, including a distinctive black paella prepared with squid ink. Believe me, you will love it! Another and the last location for today will be Restaurante Ca’n Manolo!

Rumored to serve one of the best seafood paellas in Palma de Mallorca, Restaurante Ca’n Manolo is a low-key establishment specialised in Mediterranean and Mallorcan cuisine. A unique place, with diners coming here as much for the friendly, attentive service as for their superb seafood. Being so good, the tables fill up vey quickly in the evenings, so advance booking is advised. So, lovers of paella, here you have three of the most special places where you can have a memorable experience! Enjoy!
