Mallorca it may be a favorite destination for everyone, but for those thrilled by going off the beaten path, this island offers much more than just Mediterranean sunshine. So, what would you say about a place that combine the hiking with some of the most unforgettable peninsula views of the turquoise-blue sea that has a beach where you can relax as much as you want? Amazing, right? Then, ladies and gentlemen, meet the Cala Magraner – a rocky cove located halfway between the urbanisations in Cales de Mallorca and Cala Romantica in the town of Manacor. Here, everything that I have listed above is possible!

In this place you are surrounded not just by nature, but also by the creation in its purest form. More exactly, Cala Magraner is one of the few virgin beaches in Manacor where you can enjoy the beach and also do some climbing. Here you can discover many caves and cliffs ideal for practising your climbing skills. Well, there are rocky areas of all different difficulties so any climber can have a great time, whether amateur or professional. But if you ask me, only those who has just starting out as climbers may be the ones who most appreciate this magical place. Because there are only 68 routes in total and a maximum height of 20 metres.

When it comes to the sea, this place is untouched by human hand, making the beach an uncluttered, spectacular area. The beach is located at the stream’s estuary and is surrounded by walls of rocks, making the access to the splendid water very easy. As there are a number of pools and natural inlets, you can even enjoy your own more or less private swimming pool. Sounds good, isn’t it? Therefore, if you want an unforgettable day, take the Manacor road to Calas de Mallorca. After about eight km there is a crossroad with Porto Cristo to the left and Calas de Mallorca to the right. Carry on towards Calas de Mallorca, you will pass two bends and then see how the road goes through a wide, rough section. Park here, climb the ladder over the gate and walk about twenty minutes until you reach the beach and different routes. This is how you get to Cala Magraner! Don’t forget to bring your goggles, flippers and why not your snorkel. Your digital camera is a must!
