Are you preparing for vacation but you don’t know what to add on your “to do” list? Well, let me give you a tip – tasting Mallorca’s wine is a great way to experience the local culture and the land of the island. There are dozens of vineyards scattered around this beautiful island but where are they all hiding? If you’ll venture on the inland, you will spot some vines from the road. Being a city steeped in time, here you can feel the magic of every town starting with a wine tour, perfect for those who love adventure and fun. In this excursion you will taste some of Mallorca’s best wines accompanied by savory local tapas and amazing areas at three different tasting venues in every corner of the Balearic island.

Starting from Binissalem, in the heart of Mallorca wine country, these thoughtful people offer tours by mini train around the beautiful countryside stopping off at wineries, fincas and private country houses to see how wine is made and more importantly, to taste it. The second one, just as amazing as Binissalem and a must see, is somewhere close to the town of Santa Maria del Cami named Bodegas Angel. This place was founded by Andres Gelabert in 2006. The vineyard is located in the central wine-growing region of Mallorca in Santa Maria del Cami and has 20 hectares of French and Mallorcan vines.

They have planted a diverse selection of vines, from the Mallorca Prensal Blanc (Moll) and Manto Negro to the French Viognier and Chardonnay for the white wine and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds. In present there is a mix of young vines that are over 50 years old, thus allowing the production of complex wines. What’s more important is that throughout the year these vines receive a lot of care – they are pruned, fertilized, weeded and yield controlled to produce the optimal grape for harvesting. So if you want to find out more, tours are available in English, Spanish and German and it lasts one hour. Alternatively you can opt for a lunch or dinner (minimum of 10 people) to enjoy delicious food complimented by Bodegas Angel’s wines. Between savoring wine and sampling tapas, taking part of this tour you will have the chance to see some hidden areas of Palma: wine shops, authentic Mallorcan restaurants and vintage shops nestled deep within the city walls. Once in life, do something new that makes your soul happy!:)
