This stage begins in the exclusive port city of Port d’Andratx, and when you start the route you can contemplate unforgettable views of the sea and the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana. You can also see the fascinating island of Sa Dragonera, a remote protected natural reserve located at a short distance from the coast.
New romantics, new adventures
It is a route that appeals to the five senses. While we walk the aroma of the pines surrounds us, while we can observe the peculiar lizards. There you can find two lime kilns built using the dry stone technique.
We will also find a beautiful fauna and flora. Recently a photography exhibition, by the Department of the Environment of the Consell de Mallorca, showed us many of the beautiful photographs with those magnificent flowers found throughout the tour. The Orchids of the Route of Pedra in Sec, are reproduced in 40 photos by Miquel Àngel Gual and Luís Alberto Domínguez, texts by Joan Rita and also drawings by Cati Artigues.
This exhibition has been in force precisely until January 11th, 2018. Today is the last day! We recommend you to be aware of the dates in which it is possible to visit the sample again in an alternative location.
This tour lasts about three and a half hours and ends in La Trapa, a ruined monastery belonging to the GOB (a Majorcan environmental group).
Unfortunately, this place does not have any shelter, but you can install your tent after registering officially with the GOB.
