There is no greater artist than nature itself. Am I right? πŸ˜€ The island of Mallorca grows, great and imposing from the Mediterranean making use of the force of the winds and the sea, sculpting the earth creating incredible shapes and landscapes. πŸ™‚ One of its greatest creations in the Balearic Islands are the impressive cliffs and impossible rock formations outline the coast with large cliffs and small coves embraced by them. πŸ˜€ The views from the highest points of the coast are impressive, as are those that are obtained by sailing around the island with another perspective of the cliffs, that is a true spectacle of nature. πŸ˜‰

The island rises abruptly from the sea in different zones, forming cliffs that leave speechless those who dare to take a peek from the edge (one that, of course, are not afraid of heights). πŸ˜€ There are not many formations of this type in the world, but we are lucky to have three of them in the Balearic Islands that still survive the sea. πŸ™‚ One of them is Cape of Formentor – is one of the most emblematic and most visited places of the island, as the views from this point are spectacular.

Formentor is a peninsula that stretches about 12 kilometers, 3 kilometers wide and about 232 meters above sea level at its highest point. πŸ™‚ It is a special location, believe me! The second and my favorite is Sa Calobra – a mountain range that ends in the Cala de Sa Calobra and in the sea, creating one of the most beautiful and impressive areas of the island. πŸ™‚

The responsible? Well…the Torrent de Pareis, a river that crosses Sierra de la Tramuntana to the sea opening a breach in the land that gave rise to this special corner. An intense and transparent blue sea awaits for you at the foot of this cliff. πŸ˜€ And the third but also, one of my favorite .. the one and only Santanyi. Although of less height than Llucmajor, the coast of Santanyi also presents numerous cliffs that extend as far as the eye can see. πŸ™‚

Its numerous protrusions, caves and formations derived from erosions that date back to antiquity. So, if you want to approach a cliff without suffering vertigo, this is the place! πŸ˜€ If you want to see Mallorca from the heights, feel the sea breeze and saltpeter on your skin :)… go check some of these incredible cliffs. The experience will be unforgettable! πŸ˜›
