There aren’t many places in the world that feel as much like home as the Port de Pollensa beach does. Although it’s obvious from the landscape, the luxury and the tranquility, the warm welcome and impeccable services in Port de Pollensa, during a stay makes guests feel like they belong.

The beach is located in the northern part of Mallorca. It is not far from the holiday resort Alcudia, whereas the distance to the airport near Palma de Mallorca is approx. 65 km. One of the most family-friendly beaches on Mallorca — Pollensa beach is positioned acres of countryside where the Tramuntana mountain range meets the sea. It is also known as Platja de Port Pollença or as Platja dels Tamarells and it has a half kilometre long and is very wide. Playa del Port de Pollensa is a beach in northern Mallorca that has something for absolutely everyone. In addition to a huge area of sand with plenty of places to lie, there are good bathing conditions, lots of food outlets, recreation and water sports facilities, plus a water playground for big kids and little kids.

The infrastructure is good and includes access for wheelchair users. The large number of hotels in the immediate vicinity make it possible to spend several relaxing and thoroughly successful days on the beach with the whole family. At Playa del Port de Pollensa it’s perfectly possible for your holiday to be both relaxing and exciting. This beach with its fine, light sand, is 1.5 kilometres long is an amazing place were you can spend your day. Children will find that as well as a playground on the sand, there is actually one in the water! Also near the beach is a promenade that has its end to the port. You’ll find animated local souvenir shops, hotels and apartments, that make from Pollensa one of the busiest beaches in the area.

The beach also has the blue flag and has a very high security service. You can rent sun loungers and parasols and there are toilets, showers and a high presence of lifeguards. There are free car parking facilities on the street behind the beach, host of shops and restaurants along the beach front. From here you can find easy access for people with disabilities and also the different services available for sports, especially water, such as rental of canoes and surfboards. The long stretch of coast line between Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia makes for a beautiful drive or cycle – the road hugs the beach all the way along the crescent shaped bay giving a great view out to Cap Formentor, Cap Pinar and all the way out to the sea. Here you’ll find excellent apartments with stunning sea views, ideal for those who wish to be near the waves, sandy beach and walkable to all amenities bars, cafes, restaurants of the lovely and appreciated resort of Puerto Pollensa. A real place to relax, with nice hosts and staff who are friendly and warm. My favourite place was having a drink on the terrace, which looks out onto the lovely bay view. I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. Puerto Pollensa beach is a beautiful place and calm, with lovely views across the bay.
