Looking for a small place where you can enjoy peace, tranquillity, total relaxation with really good things to do and awesome locations to visit near its area? 🙂 Well, the tiny town of Ariany gives you all this and more. 😀 The small municipal town of Ariany is centrally located towards the north of the island, lying on the strait of Petra after the town of Santa Margalida. 🙂 With a resident population of just 737 people, this village is one of the smallest on the island. 😛 And even with a municipality that is itself just 22.72 km2 in area, both the town and municipality of Ariany is a place that you’ll never forget once you got in there, being so quiet and so beautiful. 🙂

The town lies within each reach of the capital city of Palma, at a distance of around 50km and a shorter distance of only 12km to the islands second city, Mancor. When it comes to its history, the archaeological findings show that Talayotic culture surrounding the current Ariany village were in prehistoric times and the current name of the town comes from the Arabic alqueria Arian. 🙂 So yes, is that perfect spot for history lover! 😀

On the whole, the small town of Ariany is ideal if you wish to experience the primitive nature of rural Mallorcan life. In the absence of a highly charged, fast paced atmosphere, you are sure to find total relaxation here within quiet, tranquil surroundings. In addition, Ariany’s central location makes it an ideal base to explore Mallorca, with a great deal of towns and villages within easy travelling distance. 😀 It should, however, be noted that due to the villages modes size and secluded location, the use of a hire car is a necessity for the duration of your stay. Whatever you choose, this picturesque town and its wide variety of surrounding countryside landscapes make Ariany an ideal town to those wishing to experience Mallorca’s remote side. 🙂
