A whole day of fun never hurt anybody. Therefore, today I would like to tell you about Port Adriano where I spent a few wonderful days. I will tell you about some nice places and nice restaurants, so when you will decide to spend your vacations on the island of Mallorca and look for  something special, you will know where to go. Port Adriano is the super-luxury yacht harbour from Mallorca designed by Phillipe Starck and has berths for boats between 6 and 100 meter long as well as shops, bars, restaurants and a range of watersports.

The marina of Port Adriano is approximately 20 minutes by car in the west of Palma and by sea 9.21 km from the Port of Palma and is surrounded by areas of great natural beauty for sailing and other nautical sports, such as the Malgrats Islands, the coast of El Toro and the North coast of Mallorca, recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

It has grown to currently become one of the most relevant ports in the Balearic Islands and offers the best conditions for bathing and also for practising nautical activities, this together with the quality of its services is making the place an excellent home port for owners and crews. Situated in the municipality of Calvià, Port Adriano is located on the south-west of the bay of Palma de Mallorca.

The major attraction of Port Adriano for the yachting community is its awesome range of facilities for boats up to 100 metres. However, if you are not yachter or prefer your feet on dry land, there are many other things to see and do. The magnificent Port Adriano was newly opened only 2 years ago and it really should be visited. Is well appointed, stunning and modern with some of the world’s biggest super yachts with very nice restaurants, a great homemade ice cream bar, luxury shops and so on.

They are certainly making an effort with a whole team of acrobats and dancers who gave nightly performances in every summer season. One of my favorite restaurants on the isle can be found here. If you’ll ever go there, choose a table at the ground floor or on the first floor where you will have a wonderful view over the harbour. If you are not really hungry you can just sit on the bar and enjoy some drinks and small snacks. In the back of the restaurant you can also find a pool with comfortable chairs – that’s also a perfect place to relax. El Faro is another place I recommend. If you want to have fresh fish you should go there.

Every evening they offer the best and freshest fish served on a big plate. They will bring it to your table and you can choose whatever you like. They have grilled fish, steamed fish or fish in salt. Besides that, El Faro Mallorca offers some typical Spanish dishes like the famous Paella. This port is everything you need from bars and restaurants, gym, car rentals and even special events.

The marina is the ideal starting point for discovering the southwest coast during a day-charter from the sea but also for exploring the entire island. Many towns are close by, so if you live in a place like Port Adriano you can be in Palma or Andratx within 20 minutes. Each town has its own special character so there is so much to enjoy. If you spend some vacations on the island of Mallorca, this place is definitely worth visiting. I can highly recommend to stop there, you won’t regret it.
