Surrounded by beautiful countryside and having in possession a lot of popular resorts, Mallorca is a good location for a great holiday. A magical place and an excellent destination for leisure time activities, its history, culture and dozens of kilometers of stunning beaches of unparalleled beauty along with warm turquoise waters and fine sand make Mallorca a refuge of paradise close to you. Lined with flowers in playful shades and lots of avant-garde buildings, Mallorca is more than you see at the first glance. The city’s treasures are the cathedrals, castles, palaces and museums that for me are like some pieces of a puzzle which forms this wonderful place. Here awaits you a sea of experiences, memories and moments to explore. Paradisiacal sea, majestic scenery, exquisite cuisine and endless recreational activities are among the perks. Therefore, if you’ll come to Mallorca, Artá is a must because this is the place where you’ll reacquaint yourself with the authentic Mallorca. Artà, compared to some of the areas in the south, is still relatively undeveloped as a whole so offers visitors an opportunity to see a side of Mallorca that is not often viewed.

The traditional town sits in the middle of a large valley at the foot of a small mountain. It’s located in the northwest of Mallorca and while it can be characterized by the hospitality and generosity of its locals, there are so many more things to indulge in. At every step, the indisputable proofs of  its magnificent past are felt and the historical scent is deeply impregnated. The walls painted in the colors of the honey stores the memories of the past and the paintings in the cathedrals remind you of the old good times. One of the best reasons for visiting Artà is the Santuari de Sant Salvador, an ancient fortress and fortification since Moorish times; this is a popular place of pilgrimage on the island. If you are able to climb up, then a couple of hundred steps is well worth as the view from the top over the roofs and winding streets of the town is a lovely reward. Other examples are the twenty-five kilometres of pristine beaches and natural surroundings, varied cuisine and a rich archaeological heritage.

The beaches in Artá are recognized as some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean and many of them are included in the Parc de Llevant maritime-terrestrial reserve. You will have at your disposal a dozen idyllic coves where you can enjoy the crystal clear waters of blue and green coloration with white sands and wonderful enclaves which have barely been modified by humans. When it comes to archaeological heritage, the Llevant de Mallorca Marine Reserve, located northeast of the island between Cap Mata and Cap des Freu has over nine hundred species, mainly algae, mollusk and fish. Artà itself is a busy place and popular day-trip destination, retaining its local culture and the relaxed character which places it among the more desirable old-town locations in Mallorca. There are many attractions ranging from art and craft shops to the many local and international restaurants and bars.  Furthermore, there are a wide range of sports to practice outdoors (a sailing club, an equestrian center, tennis courts, golf courses) which make tourism and leisure original in this corner of the island.  Artà municipality is a really beautiful area that has one of the most unspoiled parts of all of Mallorca. Its streets, market squares and people are hospitable and welcoming. Its tradition, modernity, nature and tourism make this corner of the island a must see place if you want to return for some moments to the true and old Mallorca.
