How in my last article I started to talk about the magnificent beach of Sa Rapita, today it will be about the coastal village of Sa Rapita. Spending my days here it was a blessing and a dream come true. Each corner of this island is a magic place and has an extraordinary beauty. This place is probably the closest town to one of Mallorca’s best beaches. Sa Rapita is a small town where you can find basics for your holiday or day-to-day living. A trip to this place is a must for every person who is visiting the island. In the small, coastal village of Sa Rapita you can find a small and cute selection of shops, bars and restaurants and is a home to a small marina with a restaurant and bar. Although Sa Rapita is mainly a residential area of recent construction, there are several restaurants to see along the sea front promenade.

Very popular with the islands inhabitants, especially on a sunday, these dines offer varied menus but mostly specialise in fish and renowned paellas! Here you can simply enjoy the beauty of your surroundings or swim, sunbathe or snorkel and that is a great opportunity to spend a superb stay in Sa Rapita with a group of friends or the family. The long area of fine, white sand lies in a nature reserve with inviting walking trails. There is also an opportunity to take part in water sports in the clear water on the beach, which with all its natural beauty, never gets overcrowded. A good selection of food and drinks is available, plus infrastructure such as showers and rest rooms are within your reach.

Sa Rapita is not easily accessible via the motorway or rail links, so a whole day for a trip to Palma city or the 12km trip to Campos is probably your best option. The shoreline at Sa Rapita is rocky but the wonderful 3km long beach of Es Trenc is just a walk away. When it comes to seaside and relaxation, Sa Rapita is located in a settlement of unique beauty and surrounded by three of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca: Es Trenc, Ses Covetes and Playa de Sa Rápita.

The amazing corner of heaven is very child friendly and along the main road of the village you can find a supermaket, pharmacy, bank, several restaurants and others. If you just want to take it easy , here is the perfect place for a bbq  and plenty of things to slack and chill . This unspoilt corner of Mallorca it has remained unchanged for many years. It is ideal for people who just want a quiet village life and to enjoy a much slower pace. Rent a car and explore the delightful countryside. You’ll be fascinated !
