Traveling is awesome

Traveling is awesome , especially when you have the loved ones around you and you’re seeing the most beautiful places in the country that you love . In Mallorca , there are no place which you can’t fall in love , I  swear  !  Three years ago I was on the isle with my best friends . I talked so much about my adventures there , that I convinced them to come with me and see for themselves how beautiful can be Mallorca . We went to various places , including the marvelous Cap de Formentor .

It was a first for them , but , also , for me too. Cap de Formentor , it’s on the top of the island and it takes some time to drive there , but it is definitely worth it !

As a major attraction on the island , Cap de Formentor can be reached by car , bus or bicycle via a spectacular 13.5 km road . With its captivating natural attractions , mesmerizing scenery , rich variety of flora and fauna , excellent walking and climbing opportunities it’s no surprise that the Cap de Formentor is one of the most exciting experiences that Mallorca has to offer .

A lighthouse stands on this promontory and although it’s not open to visitors , you can walk around on its rocky surroundings . In addition to the lighthouse , which is fairly considered the highlight of the journey, there are numerous viewpoints along the road that are worth a stopover .

The most popular one is Mirador del Mal Pas , better known as Mirador d’es Colomer due to the nearby Colomer Island which fills the landscape .

It is worth it to go , but be aware though , because the road can get pretty crowded during the high season . So , the best time to drive your way up to the hill would be in the morning . If you’ll ever choose go there , enjoy the trip and let me know what you liked the most .
