The winter have already reached many European countries, including mine so, it might be easier to get the Christmas feeling when it gets colder, darker and the snow is settling all over the city. 🙂 Is November and only a few weeks separates us from Christmas. 😀 From what I’ve heard, people from Mallorca are very happy and excited because the preparations for the traditional Christmas market it started already. With a dash of Mallorcan glamour and a tonne of local good cheer, the beautiful island of Mallorca glitters and shines over the Christmas, making it an ideal place to visit on your holiday.

It is a time to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends and of course for the little ones to meet Father Christmas ( Santa Claus) and to be spoilt with gifts and love. So why not making an unforgettable Christmas? If you want to travel on the island and spend your holidays in a unique spot, then you have to know that the main places for this kind of markets in Palma are Via Roma, Las Ramblas, Placa Espana and Placa Major.

The last one numbered, Placa Major is possibly the most different because of what is on sale: hundreds of different versions of the Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the three Kings, shepherds and farm animals. These are extremely popular all over Mallorca and you will see many elaborate displays in shop fronts and restaurants.

They are lovely and for sure you will enjoy every second spend here. The landscape is fabulous! When it comes to food, gastronomy plays an important part here. With a fantastic choice of restaurants, including 9 Michelin-starred restaurants, you certainly won’t be lacking in choice for a family meal or a special meal with a loved one. And to complete your Christmas experience, you may want to go to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve at the Cathedral in Palma. But I will tell you about this place in the next article. Therefore, let’s meet tomorrow to talk about this awesome and magical event. Kisses!
