Mallorca’s stunning coastline has been a major tourist attraction since the fifties. The island has a lot to offer and is precious. The largest of the Balearics, Mallorca also has the greatest diversity of landscape and culture. For today, the Cala S´Almonia is one of my recommendation and is an ideal place to spend your holiday. If you’re traveling to Palma de Mallorca, you can’t miss Cala S’Almonia.

Cala S’Almonia (also spelled Cala S’Almunia) is a beautiful inlet with limestone walls and turquoise water. You’ll find here just one sandy beach, but with a stunning area for swimming or just gazing at the scenery. It will be a little hard to find it, but believe me, will worth it when you do. There are no signs directing you to this place – you’ll get to it from the small village of Llombards. There are no services at this cove but, you will find here an amazing water and peaceful view . This place it’s situated near Santanyi and is another of these fishing villages filled with a special charm.

The Cala is accessed via a staircase that leads to a pristine beach with small fishermen houses. There are 2 beaches here. The first one is Calo Des Moro, a very small and secluded beach. If you’ll ever visit it, go as early as possible because it gets full very early. This beach and the one next to it, Cala Moro are absolutely beautiful. There is very limited space to lie down and most of the people are stood up or sat on rocks.

The water is really clear and lots of people loves to snorkeling here. You will also find places were you can jump off the rocks right into the sea. I’ve had a lovely day there and I can’t wait to come back! Wherever you stay, accommodation can be reasonably priced especially compared to many other Mediterranean destinations. Mallorca has more than its fair share of attractions and will appeal to many different types of visitors from around the world.

The island of Mallorca is a place filled with history and tradition, which means that visitors usually get to experience at least a piece of those things. Beach holidays are the most common type of vacation on the island, which comes as no surprise because Mallorca’s coastline is famous for its authentic turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. You can escape from the traditional tourist resorts and absorb Mallorcan culture by staying in the rural area situated near the historical town of Santanyí. This region offers some of the most beautiful boutique hotels in this part of the island. Here you’ll find for sure the holiday of your dreams !
